    Dear Academy members,

    Apologies for cross posting.

This is an advance notice to researchers in the area of Organizational Culture.  The journal "Measuring Business Excellence" will begin accepting papers on April 1 for a special issue on "Analyzing Cultures of Excellence".

This special issue has the following aims:

    1. To understand the influence that organizational, geographic, and other social cultures have on continuous improvement, waste reduction, and problem solving activities in organizations.  This will be met through conceptual and empirical articles that examine how cultural assumptions, values, and artifacts impact organizational processes and operations.
    2. To assess specific cultural elements that are most closely related to excellent business practices.  This will be met through conceptual and empirical articles that examine specific cultural attributes and link them to best practices in organizations.
    3. To make recommendations for ways in which organizations can create their own cultures of excellence despite potential limitations that they might face.  This will be met through conceptual and empirical articles that consider the interplay between different overlapping cultural influences in suggesting new and improved ways in which organizations might operate.

    Coverage

Scholars and practitioners are invited to submit papers for inclusion in this special issue of Measuring Business Excellence (MBE). Topics of interests in management and business include, but are not limited to, the following issues:
