    Time: July 24-25, 2025
    Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

    Dear Colleagues,

The Social Issues in Management (SIM) Division is soliciting applications to its in-person Doctoral Consortium during this year's Academy of Management Meeting. If you are a doctoral student, please consider applying using the link below. If you are faculty, please consider forwarding this opportunity to your students doing research on social issues in management.

To apply, please fill out this application form.

Applications are due by April1, 2025. Applicants will be informed of acceptance by April 20, 2025.

The SIM Doctoral Consortium aims to inspire and inform doctoral students focusing on SIM topics, providing elements for success and impact in scholarship, teaching, service, and academic lives. Distinguished SIM scholars will share their knowledge, engage in panel debates, and interact with students. Junior SIM faculty will discuss their dissertation process, job market experiences, and teaching mastery. The PDW is designed to be both informative and interactive, offering students a "survival toolkit" for completing their doctoral program and early career. Students will also be paired with a mentor for individualized attention and advice over lunch.

The SIM Doctoral Consortium welcomes current PhD students interested in Social Issues in Management, with priority given to those advanced in their programs if over-subscribed. Accepted students can request a conference fee waiver, subject to availability. Participation in the consortium itself incurs no additional costs.

The event will begin with a Fireside chat with Jean Pascal-Gond, a leading SIM scholar, hosted by Michael Johnson-Cramer on Thursday, July 24, at 6:00pm CET, and followed by dinner. The main program will be held on Friday, July 25, from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.
