    Final call!

    Dear Colleagues,

We write to solicit applications for the 16th Annual Global Business Ethics Teaching Workshop, hosted by the Hoffman Center for Business Ethics at Bentley University. Please spread the word!

This three-day Workshop, held on the Bentley University campus in Waltham, Massachusetts from May 19 – 21, 2020, is designed to provide instructors of business ethics (and related courses such as CSR, sustainability, and corporate citizenship) the knowledge and tools that they need to be more effective in the classroom. The Workshop is open to first-time instructors as well as to those with more experience looking for ways to improve. We welcome applications from scholars based in any country.

Jeff Moriarty and Jill Brown, both of Bentley University, co-direct and teach in the Workshop. It will also feature several guest lectures. While the agenda for this year's Workshop is a work in progress, in the past guest lecturers have included Kirsten Martin (George Washington), Tom Donaldson (Wharton), Doug Bosse (Richmond), Mary Gentile (Darden), Celia Moore (Imperial College), Archie Carroll (Georgia), and Nien-hê Hsieh (Harvard).

Thanks to the generosity of the State Street Foundation, participants in the Workshop will receive reimbursement for their reasonable travel and accommodation expenses. Detailed information will be provided to accepted applicants.

The Global Business Ethics Teaching Workshop is paired with the 16th Annual Global Business Ethics Symposium, a conference which brings together academics and practitioners to discuss issues of mutual concern. This year's Symposium, also sponsored by State Street, is "Business Ethics and Social Media: Opportunities and Challenges." The Symposium takes place on May 18, 2020, also on the Bentley campus, and participants in the Workshop are expected to attend this event.

To apply for the Workshop, please fill out and email the attached application form to Jeff Moriarty (jmoriarty@bentley.edu). We regret that we typically have more applications than we have available seats (and funding). Applications are due January 15, 2020.

Questions about the Workshop or Symposium can be directed to Jeff or Jill Brown (jbrown@bentley.edu).

    Best regards,

    Jeff Moriarty (and Jill Brown)
