    Calling all doctoral students and early-stage faculty members for Doctoral Consortium

    I am delighted to extend an invitation to you for the Doctoral Consortium (DC) at the Social Business Creation Conference, co-organized by Hec Montreal from 19th to 20th June 2023 in a hybrid format, combining online participation and in-person attendance in Montreal.

    The DC is designed to help doctoral students and early-stage faculty members improve their research and publication strategy. It will be an opportunity to share their research and learn from experienced researchers. Through panels, professional development workshops, and hands-on practice, attendees will also reflect on a
    career plan and design an effective strategy for their career development. It is a moment to improve your work, advance your understanding of the field, take informal interactions, and networking opportunities, and receive support from expert researchers to engage in further discussions. In addition, it is a learning space to acquire
    skills to be productive scholars, prepare manuscripts for publication, and develop high-level strategies for their ongoing and upcoming research.

    The DC aims to:
    -To provide a super opportunity to reflect on career pathways and career development strategies;
    -To take new ideas and perspectives on your research directions and receive feedback and guidance on your current research;
    -To reflect on your research aiming to identify problems/issues for discussion and inquiry;
    -To get skills about writing issues, publication, and being productive in academia;
    -To create a supportive community based on learning spaces connecting with other students, institutions, and researchers;
    -To support early-stage researchers through guidance from senior researchers.

    We are glad to count on our world-classes elite speakers:
    Muhammad Yunus (Nobel Laureate and social entrepreneur)
    Pascal Dey (Berner University)
    Rachida Justo (IE University)
    Martin Whiteford (Emerald Publishing)
    Leo Paul Dana (Dalhousie University)
    Mai Thai (Hec Montreal)
    Ekaterina Turkina (Hec Montreal)
    Wendy Cukier (Toronto Metropolitan University)

    The DC will feature various sessions aimed at providing valuable guidance and training in career orientation, research methodology, and training on
    preparing manuscripts for publication. These sessions will be facilitated by experienced trainers who excel in their respective fields. Additionally, the DC will include presentations of research works and PDWs to further enrich the learning experience.
