    Colleagues,

I write to alert you to two events the Hoffman Center for Business Ethics (HCBE) at Bentley University will be hosting this week and next.

On Thursday, January 26th from 12:30 p.m. – 1:45 p.m., we'll host Tom White, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Loyola Marymount University, and current HCBE advisory board member. He will be giving a brown bag research talk, "The Monetization of Ignorance, Fear, and Conflict: An Issue of Corporate Social Responsibility." This event will be held in a hybrid format: in person (AAC 254) and on zoom. If you plan to come in person, let us know (so we can buy you lunch). To register for the zoom, click here.

On Thursday, February 2nd from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m., we'll host an ethics@work panel featuring Sarah Altschuller (Verizon), John Sherman (Shift), and Florian Wettstein (St. Gallen). This panel will focus on business activity and human rights. This is a virtual-only event. To register for the webinar, click here.

    Flyers are attached.

We hope to see you there!

    Best,

    Jeff
