    The Social Issues in Management (SIM) Division of the Academy of Management is pleased to invite nominations (including self-nominations) for the 2026 SIM Outstanding Book Award.

    We welcome nominations of scholarly books that make a significant contribution to the SIM domain. While submissions across all SIM-relevant areas are encouraged, the committee is particularly interested in books addressing:

    πŸ”Ή Corporate Social Responsibility
    πŸ”Ή Business Ethics
    πŸ”Ή Stakeholder Engagement
    πŸ”Ή Impact Investing
    πŸ”Ή Modern Slavery

    Eligibility criteria
    βœ”οΈ Books published between January 2021 – December 2025
    βœ”οΈ Authors do not need to be SIM members
    ❌ Textbooks and edited volumes are not eligible
    ❌ One nomination per author
    ❌ Previously rejected books cannot be resubmitted

    Evaluation criteria
    πŸ“Œ Relevance to the SIM domain
    πŸ“Œ Contribution to theory and practice
    πŸ“Œ Empirical and theoretical rigor

    Nomination package should include:
    β€’ Book title and author(s)
    β€’ Year of publication
    β€’ Publisher
    β€’ PDF copy of the book (links or hard copies will not be accepted)

    ✨ Award finalists will be invited to present a synopsis of their book at a special SIM session during the 2026 Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Philadelphia.

    I warmly encourage colleagues and scholars in the SIM community to nominate impactful work that advances our understanding of social issues in management.
