π Call for Nominations | 2026 SIM Outstanding Book Award π
The Social Issues in Management (SIM) Division of the Academy of Management is pleased to invite nominations (including self-nominations) for the 2026 SIM Outstanding Book Award.
We welcome nominations of scholarly books that make a significant contribution to the SIM domain. While submissions across all SIM-relevant areas are encouraged, the committee is particularly interested in books addressing:
πΉ Corporate Social Responsibility
πΉ Business Ethics
πΉ Stakeholder Engagement
πΉ Impact Investing
πΉ Modern Slavery
Eligibility criteria
βοΈ Books published between January 2021 β December 2025
βοΈ Authors do not need to be SIM members
β Textbooks and edited volumes are not eligible
β One nomination per author
β Previously rejected books cannot be resubmitted
Evaluation criteria
π Relevance to the SIM domain
π Contribution to theory and practice
π Empirical and theoretical rigor
Nomination package should include:
β’ Book title and author(s)
β’ Year of publication
β’ Publisher
β’ PDF copy of the book (links or hard copies will not be accepted)

β¨ Award finalists will be invited to present a synopsis of their book at a special SIM session during the 2026 Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Philadelphia.
I warmly encourage colleagues and scholars in the SIM community to nominate impactful work that advances our understanding of social issues in management.
