The SIM Communications Committee is excited to share a message from our Research Committee Chair, @Lucas Amaral, with updates on current Research Committee events.

The Research Committee has significantly expanded its activities over the last trimester. We welcomed new committee and task force members and now comprise ten scholars who collectively reflect the diversity of SIM research, in both substantive focus and career stage.

The composition of the committee aligns with our ambition to support members at all career stages in producing impactful and insightful research. To advance this goal, we are launching two new initiatives:

The Seasoned Researchers' Circle: Targeted at mid-career and senior colleagues, this series of in-person and online workshops aims to foster networking and collaboration among our more experienced members. The first event will take place online in April 2026.

SIM Research Podcast Task Force: A joint initiative with other SIM committees designed to produce a podcast episode every three months addressing specific challenges in conducting SIM research, featuring a different guest in each episode.

In addition to these initiatives, we will continue our flagship SIM Research Development Workshop, primarily aimed at early-career scholars, who will have the opportunity to discuss their work with experienced mentors from the SIM community. Applications and registration for this PDW will open once decisions for the Annual Meeting paper submissions are released.
