Book Title: Sustainability in Digital Enterprises - Integrating CSR, ESG, and Innovation
Brief Introduction:
Amid accelerating technological advancements and mounting environmental imperatives, organizations worldwide are compelled to fundamentally reevaluate and strategically realign their operational frameworks. This transformation is crucial, not merely for maintaining competitive advantage, but for effectively addressing emerging sustainability mandates. The convergence of digital transformation and sustainability has become a strategic imperative, prompting firms to leverage advanced technological capabilities, including artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, the Internet of Things (IoT), big data analytics, and cloud computing. Collectively, these technologies serve as critical catalysts for innovation, operational optimization, and substantial reductions in ecological impact.
Digital enterprises, encompassing born-digital as well as traditional organizations transitioning into digital marketplaces, stand prominently at the forefront of this paradigm shift. Through strategic deployment of emerging technologies, these entities strive to harmonize their economic objectives with socially and environmentally responsible business practices. This alignment not only facilitates long-term sustainable growth but also positions organizations as proactive leaders in the evolving global marketplace. Accordingly, it is imperative to critically examine how sustainability paradigms can be effectively operationalized within such dynamic digital market contexts.
To foster a robust scholarly dialogue, this volume provides a detailed exploration of essential theoretical constructs, notably the Circular Economy, Digital Corporate Citizenship, Corporate Digital Responsibility, and Sustainability in Digital Enterprises. These frameworks are elaborated and contextualized to establish a comprehensive conceptual foundation that underpins the book's analytical approach. Scholars specializing in these intersections of digital innovation and sustainability are invited to contribute their empirical research, theoretical insights, and conceptual advancements. Your contributions will significantly enrich our collective understanding, advancing the discourse on how digital technologies can be used to their full potential and sustainably reshape contemporary business practices.
Call Details
This project will follow a two-stage review process. In the first stage, authors are invited to submit chapter proposals by June 30, 2025, for consideration. Each proposal should include the names and affiliations of all contributing authors, a concise outline of the proposed chapter (no more than two pages), a list of key references, and relevant keywords. After reviewing the submitted proposals, the editor will determine whether to invite the authors to develop a full chapter or decline the submission. Once the full chapters are received, the second stage-a double-blind peer-review process designed to ensure academic rigor and objectivity-will be initiated.
*Please note: All submissions must represent original, unpublished work. This call is limited to the chapter titles highlighted in green in the list below. Additional details will be shared once the author selection process is complete. The deadline for full chapter submissions is: March 16, 2026
