Call for papers for free conference on Rebalancing Democracy and Capitalism

  • 1.  Call for papers for free conference on Rebalancing Democracy and Capitalism

    Posted 03-28-2025 12:29

Deadline approaching! Our Rebalance project invites abstract submissions by those wishing to participate in an in-depth meeting at the Università di Pisa, exploring the tensions and possibilities at the intersection of democracy and capitalism.

The relationship between these two foundational systems is under increasing strain, as economic inequality, corporate influence, and democratic backsliding reshape political and economic landscapes worldwide. This conference seeks to foster a critical and constructive dialogue on how democratic principles can be preserved and strengthened in market economies.

Attendance at the conference, including meals and refreshments, is FREE for authors of all accepted abstracts. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage in high level dialogue with researchers, practitioners, and policy makers.
Keynote Speakers include Anita Ramasastry, Théo Jaekel, Jonathan Zeitlin, and Katharina Weber. Come join us!

    Submission Guidelines
We invite abstracts of up to 500 words, outlining the research question, methodology, and key arguments. Submissions should be sent by April 15, 2025. Notifications of acceptance will be sent at the beginning of May 2025.
    Conference Dates: 16-18 September 2025.
