Dear all,
We are excited to announce the launch of the Cavanagh Fund, established in honor of Fr. Gerald Cavanagh, SJ, a pioneering scholar in business ethics and a founder of the Social Issues in Management (SIM) Division.
The Fund supports research projects that develop practical, ethical solutions to today's most pressing social challenges. We seek proposals from teams that include at least one academic, one industry practitioner, and one student - fostering collaboration across sectors and disciplines.
Priority areas include:
- The Dignity of Work, Morality, and Spirituality
- Race, Inclusion, and Society
- Ethical Norms and Organizational Values
- CSR and Social Entrepreneurship
- Business Ethics in Education
Selected projects may receive up to $20,000 in funding.
Submission window: September 2025 – March 2026
We invite you to join us in advancing Fr. Cavanagh's vision of action-oriented business ethics that serve both organizations and society.
For more details or questions, see attached document and please contact: Diego Arias at ariasdi@udmercy.edu
We look forward to your innovative proposals!
Warm regards,
Diego Arias
