Yes, we're talking about AOM, the conference that can feel like an exhilarating rollercoaster ride-exciting yet overwhelming. But fear not! We've got your back and we're here to ensure you not only survive but thrive during this grand adventure.
Now, let's dive into some exciting and practical tips for our first-time attendees, junior scholars, and seasoned experts:

- Expand Your Networking Horizontally (and unleash the fun!): Networking and inspiration at AOM can significantly enhance your research productivity. Guest speakers via Zoom or visiting scholars you connect with through the AOM network can become mentors and role models, guiding you throughout your academic journey. And lastly, let's not forget to address some of the possible challenges that may arise. We believe in fostering an open and inclusive environment where we can have insightful discussions and learn from one another's experiences. During our meeting, we would like to explore how to handle potential challenges like cliques, occasional "snobbery," division politics, and participants' comments that may not be constructive. These experiences are part of the broader AOM landscape, and by having an open conversation, we can share strategies, support each other, and navigate these situations with grace and resilience.
