    PDW workshop on Governing For a Sustainable Future: Exploring The Interactions Between The Public And Private Sectors

    When: Saturday, August 10, 2024, 3.00-4.30 pm (UTC-5).

    Where: Marriott Chicago Downtown - Magnificent Mile in Lakeview

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Today, the world confronts numerous grand challenges that pose a threat to a sustainable future for both people and the planet. Addressing these challenges necessitates collective actions and collaborative solutions forged through public-private interactions. The literature on organizational research and innovation has delved into diverse forms of public-private interactions, exploring their collaborations and outcomes. Nevertheless, numerous questions concerning the governance of these interactions for sustainable futures remain open and warrant academic attention.
    With our expert panelists:
    • Domenico Dentoni (Montpellier Business School),
    • Raghu Garud (Penn State),
    • Johanna Mair (Hertie School), and
    • Madeleine Rauch (University of Cambridge)
    we will discuss what constitutes a sustainable future and how the private and public sectors can contribute to and collaborate on its development.  As an outcome of the PDW, we seek to identify key areas for future research, create research recommendations for scholars, and develop a call for action to motivate more studies in this critical domain.
    By joining the PDW, you can learn from experts' presentations, ask questions during the Q&A session, and participate in roundtable discussions led by the panelists.
    Organizers:
    • Miriam Feuls, Copenhagen Business School
    • Sylvia Grewatsch, Brock University
    • Natalia Mityushina, Brock University
    • Sunny Mosangzi Xu, Copenhagen Business School
    Your participation in our paper development workshop is important. Diverse perspectives are needed to contribute to this important and timely discussion on governing for a sustainable future. We look forward to seeing you there.
    Thank you!
    Natalia, Miriam, Sylvia, and Sunny
