There are just a few days remaining until the May 1 deadline for abstracts for our unique conference on business and modern slavery to be held in-person at the University of Bath on Sept 20-22, 2023.
The aim of the conference is to bring together the growing research community doing work in and around the topic of business and modern slavery. We will have paper presentations where we can discuss our work in progress and the event has been specifically designed to build bridges across disciplines, across research and practice, and across levels of research experience.
We will hear from our wonderful keynote speakers, Genevieve LeBaron (Simon Fraser University) and Mark Stevenson (Lancaster University), get insights from panels on inter-disciplinary research, practitioner perspectives, and more. With dedicated mentoring sessions for early career scholars and a post-conference paper development workshop to help advance work for publication, it should be an unmissable opportunity for anyone looking to build their research skills, connections, and impact in the area of business and modern slavery.
Full details are on the conference website and in the attached call for papers. Deadline for submission of abstracts is May 1, 2023 - but if any SIM members need a little extra time to get something together, just drop me an email at a.w.crane@bath.ac.uk and we can sort something out.
We look forward to welcoming you in beautiful Bath!
