Over the last five years ULMS has engaged in extensive recruitment of academic and professional services staff, expanding into a state-of-the-art extension adjacent to the Georgian quarter of Liverpool, including a trading room and a marketing suite. The School now has over 220 academic staff supported by 85 professional services colleagues. Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship (SIBE)
The SIBE Subject Group is now seeking to appoint two new colleagues in at the level of Lecturer (the equivalent to Assistant Professor; Grade 8) and/or Senior Lecturer (the equivalent to Associate Professor; Grade 9) on a Teaching and Scholarship (T&S) Track to contribute to the teaching and learning within the subject areas of Strategy, International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation, to be delivered on-site in our Liverpool campus.
The ideal candidate for a Lecturer position will possess, or be close to completion of, a PhD in the area of Strategy, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, or related discipline. For a Senior Lecturer position the ideal candidate will possess a PhD in a relevant discipline and be expected to have a strong track record in designing, managing and leading courses and programs in the area of Strategy, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Innovation. Candidates should also demonstrate the potential for (for a Lectureship) or have (for Senior Lectureship) a scholarship track record, and be aware of the last developments in pedagogy and in our disciplines, and will engage with professional networks, within and beyond the university.
Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate a successful teaching track-record commensurate with the post as they will teach on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs. The group seeks excellence in all aspects of student experience and looks for individuals with a passion for innovative pedagogies and the capacity to create and deliver new and highly contemporary modules.
Candidates should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with the ability and enthusiasm to enhance student experience. Knowledge of the particular needs of international students would be an advantage. Ability to guide and supervise students¿ independent learning is also an important requirement.
