This is a re-post of an earlier message. Please note the due date for applications, June 20, 2023.

    Dear colleagues,

The SIM Division has a small number of financial support options to enable attendance at this year's AOM Annual Meeting, where circumstances might otherwise make this difficult, such as for:

    • The President of an Academy of Management affiliated or associated organization, or a representative of that organization.
    • Non-AOM members who would otherwise not attend the Annual Meeting, such as Guest Speakers, Panelists, Distinguished.
    • Current AOM or lapsed members from underserved countries, or those experiencing financial hardship.

For the scholarships, recipients need to be AOM members, and the scholarship covers their registration fee. For the waivers, AOM membership is not required, and they are mainly targeted at those who would not ordinarily attend an AOM session, but may be keen to do so (e.g., a business person, non-management faculty) to support individuals who are contributors to a session.

To apply for a waiver or scholarship, please submit a short statement regarding your request to our SIM Division Chair, Colin Higgins, identifying the relevant category above. Please provide as much detail as necessary, including any documentary evidence to support your application (e.g., Dean's letter regarding limited financial assistance). The due date for applications is 20 June 2023 and should be emailed to c.higgins@deakin.edu.au.

Please note that, other than enabling distinguished guests/panelists to attend, AOM membership will be required and the membership fee is not covered by the financial assistance program.

    Kind regards,

    Your SIM Leadership team
