I'm reposting this as we have just a few more weeks before we close our call for submissions.
I'm delighted to be joining Linda Jakob Sadeh, John E. Katsos, Shirli Kopelman, François Maon, and Joanne Murphy in co-editing a new volume in the Research in the Sociology of Organizations series (Emerald): Organizing for Peace: Theory, Practice, and Transformation (expected publication: 2028)
In an era of escalating geopolitical tensions and violence, understanding how individuals, organizations, and systems organize for peace is both urgent and necessary. This volume seeks to advance theoretical, empirical, and methodological insights that deepen our understanding of peacebuilding as an organizing process.
We invite contributions that:
-Apply or extend organizational theories to peace contexts
-Offer rich empirical studies of organizing for peace
-Develop methodological innovations for researching peace organizing
Proposal (extended abstract) deadline: December 30, 2025
