Are you a PhD student attending the Academy of Management Annual Meeting for the first time? Or are you a returning AOM attendee who would like to help welcome newcomers?
The SIM Doctoral Student Committee is launching the SIM PhD Buddy Program to help PhD students connect before and during AOM 2026.
The program connects first-time AOM PhD attendees with returning AOM attendees in small buddy groups. The goal is to help newcomers navigate the conference, meet other PhD students, ask practical questions, and feel more connected to the SIM community.
We warmly invite two groups to register:
First-time AOM PhD attendees
Join to meet others before the conference, ask questions, and get practical advice for your first AOM experience.
Returning AOM attendees
Volunteer as a buddy to support a small group of first-time attendees by sharing your experience and helping them feel welcome.
Deadline to register for the Buddy Program: 10 July
We will also host an online session:

During this session, we will explain the buddy program and share tips and tricks for a successful first AOM experience.
