On behalf of the Social Issues in Management (SIM) Curriculum Development Committee, we invite you to our inaugural SIMply Teaching Conversation Hour, focused on The Soul of the Classroom - Reclaiming the Human Element.

 

Three distinguished panelists will share insights from teaching, coaching, and research to explore how SIM topics can be approached with sensitivity, inclusivity, and care in the classroom.

 

In this session, we focus on:

 

Tara Ceranic Salinas, Sharda Nandram, and Danaë Huijser will share real-world stories on:

 

Tara Ceranic Salinas is a Professor of Business Ethics and chairs the Management department in the Knauss School of Business, University of San Diego. Tara teaches and speaks about business ethics, leading with confidence, wellbeing at work, corporate culture, and Gen Z in the workplace.

 

Sharda Nandram is the Chief Diversity Officer at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Professor of Business and Spirituality at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. Sharda brings 35 years of expertise at the intersection of management, spirituality, innovation, and inclusion. She is the program chair-elect for the MSR Division of the Academy of Management.

 

Danaë Huijser is a lecturer and PhD researcher focused on intercultural humanistic management at the University of Humanistic Studies, focusing on promoting human dignity in intercultural teams. Danaë's training and coaching emphasize a holistic view on the person, inherent human dignity, and the collective wisdom of intercultural teams. She serves as co-chair of the Dutch Chapter of the Humanistic Management Network.
