Social Issues in Management (SIM) Division Bylaws Amendments 2025
The SIM Executive Committee has unanimously proposed a set of constitutional amendments, building on SIM's 2025 strategic review and endorsed by AOM. These amendments are designed to strengthen SIM's governance, programming, and global reach - ensuring we continue advancing knowledge and impact in the years ahead.
β
Key updates include:
Expanding SIM's objectives to reflect year-round programming and a more inclusive Annual Meeting agenda.
Adding new leadership roles (Doctoral Student Representative at Large, Global Representative at Large).
Strengthening communications with a new Communications Chair & Committee.
Establishing new Standing Committees (Program Development, Impact & Outreach, Global Scholar).
Updating governance processes for elections, appointments, and award management.
Formally recognizing the Outstanding Business Ethics Paper and Ann Buchholtz Award.
