Systems Education: A Game Changer in Preparing for the Complex Global Landscape

    19 Sep 2023 at 16:30 IST/ 13:00 CEST/ 07:00 EDT

Social entrepreneurship education promotes ventures that make a positive social and environmental impact (Hockerts, 2018; García-González and Ramírez-Montoya, 2021; Kickul et al., 2021). This shift calls for a systems-level approach to address society's challenges, including structural changes, improved relationships, power dynamics, and supporting frontline leaders. To prepare the next generation, we focus on "inner work" (Ives et al., 2020) to foster self-awareness, empathy, and a changemaking mindset. This mindset helps students analyze complex issues, find root causes, and drive solutions. Systemic change requires collective action and systems thinking, leading to a more equitable and sustainable world for all.
