The University of Rhode Island College of Business (COB) is inviting immediate applications for two (2) 1-year Visiting Assistant Professors. These positions are intended to fill immediate faculty needs and will run from late August 2022 to mid-May 2023.

One visiting professor will be in the COB's Innovation and Entrepreneurship area. The hire should have the capacity to teach Lean Start-Up, Small Business Management, and/or Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The other visiting professor will be in the COB's Management area. The hire should have the capacity to teach Organizational Behavior, Organizational Design and Change, Leadership, Gender in Organizations, and/or Strategic Management at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The teaching load will be 3-3.

In addition to teaching capabilities, successful new hires will contribute to the COB's scholarly mission. Applicants who earned their doctoral degree more than five years ago are expected to have published at least two peer-reviewed articles since 2018 in journals ranked A*, A, or B in the Australian Business Dean's Council (ABDC). Applicants who earned their doctorates in 2018 or later, as well as those who currently have ABD status in an AACSB-accredited doctoral program, do not have to meet a specific publishing requirement but should be open to partnering with COB faculty to do research. ABDs are eligible for these positions.

There are no service requirements for these visiting positions.

Pay, Benefits, Location, and Start Date: 9-month pay is commensurate with experience and will be similar to full-time, tenure-track positions. Employee health insurance benefits are offered. Relocation assistant is not available for these temporary positions. Classes will be taught in-person and candidates must be available to teach on URI's Kingston and Providence campuses. New hires must be present and available to start work in Rhode Island on August 29th.

How to Apply: Please email your brief expressions of interest to Professor Elizabeth Cooper (ecooper@uri.edu). In the email, please note your teaching experience and how you meet the research requirements stated above. Please also attach your CV.
