Wow--SIM received 833 submissions of papers, symposia, PDWs and posters for the AOM 2025 meeting in Copenhagen!! That is a record number that far exceeds the nearly 500 submissions from last year. Thank you for your interest in joining SIM's program!
But our reviewer sign-ups have not kept pace. Now we urgently need your help to process this overwhelming amount of submissions. You can still sign up to review for SIM this week: Sign up to review for SIM here: https://review.aom.org/2025/MyReviews.aspx
If you sign up by Friday January 10 you will be included in the reviewer assignment algorithm. This is important as the algorithm assigns reviews according to your research interests as identified by your keywords. Choose your keywords very thoughtfully when you sign up. You will receive up to 3 submissions to review for SIM, your review assignments will be sent to you January 16 or 17, and the deadline for reviews is Thursday, February 13. Each division you sign up to review for may assign you up to 3 papers.
It will be very competitive to be accepted in the AOM program this year, given the huge number of submissions and the finite space on the program. Whether you review for SIM may impact the chances of your paper or symposium being accepted: SIM leadership is debating instituting a policy that in the case of close calls, whether a submitter/co-author/organizer/speaker turned in timely reviews for SIM is one factor that may be considered in acceptance decisions. So please urge your co-authors/co-organizers to also sign up to review for SIM!
You do not need to be a SIM member or even an AOM member to review for SIM. You do not need to have reviewing experience. If you would like to learn more about reviewing, SIM has organized workshops with tips on reviewing. The workshop will be held on two dates in January as our division spans the globe:
Sign up for the workshop that best fits your schedule. Recordings of these workshops will be available soon in case you missed them.
Thank you for your submissions to SIM. Thank you for signing up to review and helping to ensure SIM has the best possible program. Thank you in advance for your service to SIM!
