    2024 SOCIAL ISSUES IN MANAGEMENT (SIM)

    Best Book Award Committee

    Call for Nominations

     

    Deadline for nominations: March 31st, 2024


    The selection committee for the 2024 SIM Best Book Award welcomes nominations (including self-nominations) for this year's award.

     

    The selection committee welcomes submissions in all areas relevant to SIM. However, in 2024, the committee is particularly interested in submissions concerning stakeholder engagement, impact investing, modern slavery, business ethics, and corporate social responsibility.     Qualifications:
    - Books must have been published between January 2019 and December 2023.
    - Authors do not need to be members of SIM.
    - Textbooks are not eligible.
    - Edited books with multiple authors are not eligible.

    - Maximum one book per author.

    - Books rejected in previous years are not eligible for resubmission.

    Nominated books will be evaluated based on the following:
    - Relevance to the SIM domain.
    - Contribution to the field.
    - Empirical and theoretical rigor.

    The following information must accompany each nomination:
    - The title of the book and name(s) of the author(s).
    - The year of publication.
    - The publisher.
    - A PDF copy of their book (electronic links and hard copies will not be accepted)

    Finalists for the award will be invited to present a synopsis of their book at a special SIM session at the AOM annual meeting.
