Dear colleagues,
Leaders of business sustainability centres worldwide will gather for their third bi-annual workshop this November 16-18, 2016, at INSEAD, in Fontainebleau, France. If you lead such a centre, please join us.
The workshop agenda is very exciting. Centre leaders will be speaking to core challenges in centre work, and corporate leaders sharing their insights on the intersection between academia and business. For example, panelists will address:
· How centres can develop a strategic vision and measure their impact
· How centres can mainstream sustainability within the university
· How to engage business in research and through outreach
· Engaging students inside and outside the classroom
Early registration ends September 25, so I encourage you to register now.
The workshop is an initiative of the Sustainability Centres Community (SCC), managed by the Network for Business Sustainability (NBS). Past workshops were co-hosted at the Ivey Busines School in 2012 and the Harvard Business School in 2014. (See 2014 blog for a quick summary.) The 2016 workshop will be co-hosted with the INSEAD Social Innovation Centre.
Since 2012, the SCC has brought together more than 100 sustainability centres from business schools around the world in order to build community and share learnings. For a sample of our conversations, please view the report from a recent webinar on how to find centre funding. If your school or centre is not already a member of this community, I encourage you to become an SCC member - and, of course, join us in France in November.
Sincerely,
Luke Disney
