Hello. I am trying to put together a caucus for the coming conference in Montreal, to discuss the roots of current financial meltdown and solutions, based on ethical and managerial considerations.
I would like to invite other faculty who could be interested on the subject to join the caucus; we need at least 5 members. Please let me know if you feel interested so we can discuss.
I have just written a book that Wiley published called Strategic Value Management, that shows how behind every managerial decision there is a need to maximize shareholder wealth, and this creates a lot of side effects. Some of them are centrally responsible for current financial crisis. This leads to a profound discussion about the ethical dimensions of management, business and ultimately, the sustainability of our economic system.
