    We have a tenure track faculty opening in Leadership and Change at The New School.  Do direct candidates to us who you feel might be a good fit for this position.

    Note that we are seeking candidates who can actively engage our student body which reflects the diversity of New York City. There is a strong preference for someone whose work is innovative in advancing contemporary thought about leadership and change, with a focus on developing models that embrace gender, race, class, nationality, sexual orientation and other differences.

    Assistant Professor of Management (Leadership and Change)

    Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy

    The New School seeks to hire a tenure track Assistant Professor in the Leadership and Change program at Milano, The New School for Management and Urban Policy, which is currently integrating with the University's Graduate Program in International Affairs. This position involves teaching in a newly developed graduate certificate in Leadership and Change to be launched in 2011-12, the graduate program in Organization Change Management, and undergraduate courses. Milano emphasizes interdisciplinary education that spans the nonprofit, private, and public sectors. The position will have the opportunity to connect courses in leadership and change to our curricular strengths in global management and policy, sustainability, social entrepreneurship, arts management and cultural policy, advocacy, and community development finance.

    Responsibilities include teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses, advising students, committee work, and helping provide intellectual leadership for the new certificate program.

    Applicants should have a demonstrated record or clear promise of innovative research that advances contemporary thinking about leadership and change, with preference to those whose work spans those fields. Research about or professional expertise in consulting, organization development, or organization leadership is required; experience teaching professional students is desired. 

    Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment preferred.
