Subject: [SIM] Second Annual Master Class in Business Ethics sponsored by the Wheatley Institution and SBE - Registration Open
Dear Colleagues,
The website for the Second Annual Conference on Teaching Ethics is now live and open for registration at
http://ce.byu.edu/cw/ethics/index.cfm. Come and further your capacity to teach business ethics through observing some of the world's most experienced and award-winning professors of business ethics teach a favorite class. Sponsored by the Wheatley Institution and the Society for Business Ethics, this conference will take place on the campus of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah on May 23-25, 2011.
Professors and graduate students will have the opportunity to observe some of the top business ethics professors in the nation as each teaches one of his or her favorite ethics classes, and walk away from the conference with the materials needed to teach those classes. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity. Experiencing these lectures, and learning about different pedagogical approaches to business ethics first-hand will provide attendees with insight into building or improving their own ethics courses.
2011 Presenters:
Linda Trevino, Distinguished Professor of Organizational Behavior and Ethics; director, Shoemaker Program in Business Ethics in the Smeal College of Business, Pennsylvania State University.
Leonard J. Brooks, professor of Business Ethics and Accounting; director, Master of Management and Professional Accounting Program; director, Diploma in Forensic Accounting (DIFA); executive director, The Clarkson Centre for Business Ethics and Board Effectiveness, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
