Business and Human Rights Journal (BHRJ) is seeking a Blog and Media Editor
The Business and Human Rights Journal (BHRJ) provides an authoritative platform for scholarly debate on all issues concerning the intersection of business and human rights in an open, critical and interdisciplinary manner. It seeks to advance the academic discussion on business and human rights as well as promote concern for human rights in business practice. BHRJ strives for the broadest possible scope, authorship and readership. Its scope encompasses interface of any type of business enterprise with human rights, environmental rights, labour rights and the collective rights of vulnerable groups. The Editors welcome theoretical, empirical and policy / reform-oriented perspectives and encourage submissions from academics and practitioners in all global regions and all relevant disciplines. A dialogue beyond academia is fostered as peer-reviewed articles are published alongside shorter 'Developments in the Field' items that include policy, legal and regulatory developments, as well as case studies and insight pieces.

Blog and Media Editor
BHRJ is seeking applications to fill the newly created position of a Blog and Media Editor. The main role of the Blog and Media Editor will be to curate the recently launched BHRJ Blog as well as administering the BHRJ social media account(s) with appropriate support from the journal editors and the publisher. Applications from anyone with an interest in business and human rights are welcome. The successful candidate does not need to be working in the academic sector. The primary considerations are good communication and editorial skills, a demonstrable interest and track-record in business and human rights and/or related areas, a commitment to our field, and enthusiasm. Successful applicants should have general experience and facility with social media. However, previous experience in a similar role is not required.
General Responsibilities
1) To curate the journal's recently launched blog, including solicitation and editing of regular blog posts (targeting 2-4 per month), communication with (potential) authors and creating a lively interface between journal content and the blog;
2) To maintain the journal's social media account(s) (currently: Twitter) with regular postings
related to the journal's scope and of interest to its readership, supported by the Publisher;
3) To participate in brief Editorial Board teleconferences and meetings addressing specific
topics, when relevant; The position is unsalaried. Cambridge University Press will offer a modest book honorarium.

Applicants are not limited to residents of any particular country, although a high level of proficiency in the English language is essential. Nor are they restricted to anyone with an academic affiliation, anyone with an interest in the area is encouraged to apply. The appointment will be on the recommendation of the editors, initially for two years with the possibility of extension. Interested candidates should apply by April 15, 2018.
