    Sixth Teaching Ethics at Universities Conference (Sponsored by the Wheatley Institution and the Society for Business Ethics)

     

    May 22-26, 2017 at Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah

     

    Three Conferences in One Week: 

     

    Fundamentals of Teaching Business Ethics (May 22-23): Are you new to teaching ethics? Do you want to revitalize your ethics course?  Spend two days learning how to teach ethics effectively and leave with your syllabus, readings, and teaching materials. This course will be taught by Brad Agle, Aaron Miller, and other Marriott School faculty members.

     

    Teaching Ethics Research Conference (May 24): Do you have interesting and new research on the teaching of ethics, or do you have an innovative pedagogical technique you are using in your class? Come share your insights, and learn from others for a day. For those who would like to present, please send in a short proposal of your session (maximum of 500 words) to bradagle@byu.edu by January 7th. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by the end of January.

     

    A Master Class in Business Ethics (May 24-26): How do master ethics teachers teach? Join us for two days to see five outstanding ethics faculty members teach one of their favorite class sessions. The conference begins at 5:00 p.m. on May 24th and finishes at noon on May 26th.

     

    2017 Master Ethics Teachers:

     

    Dawn Elm: David A. and Barbara Koch Distinguished Professor of Business Ethics and Social Responsibility at the University of St. Thomas.

     

    Joanne B. Ciulla: Cofounder, professor, and Coston Family Chair in Leadership and Ethics at the Jepson School of Leadership Studies, University of Richmond.

     

    Daryl Koehn: Managing director of the Institute for Business and Professional Ethics, and Wicklander Chair in Professional Ethics at DePaul University.

     

    Marshall Schminke: BB&T Professor of Business Ethics at the University of Central Florida.

     

    David Hart: Associate Professor of Ethics and Public Management, Romney Institute of Public Management, Brigham Young University.
