Call for Chapter proposals due November 21, 2011

Integrity in organizations - Building the foundations for humanistic management

Wolfgang Amann, Goethe Business School, Frankfurt a. M. Germany and Agata Stachowicz-Stanusch, Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Editors

The quest for integrity in business is not only a reaction to highly publicized corporate scandals and instances of management misconduct that have eroded public faith, but also a result of changes and new demands in the global business environment (Wankel & Malleck, 2011). It is inevitable to rethink the main underlying business paradigms as well as secure the role of key aspects - such as integrity.

We invite proposals for chapters on what does integrity mean for global organizations on the personal, group and organizational levels, as well as how may we implement and develop  integrity in organizations. Proposals may address any approach to better understand the concept of integrity within organizational contexts.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

-the role of integrity in building better, more humanistic organizations

-clarifying the relationship between integrity and profitability

-integrity priorities during and after the crisis,

-best practices for improving workplace integrity,

-values and virtues as a basis for business success,

-rebuilding organizational reputation and trust after the crisis,

    -corporate governance and integrity,

    -integrity and leadership,

-integrity issues and anti-corruption mechanism (gift management, whistleblowing),

    -global sustainability and integrity.
