To SIMians Attending the SIM-SBE Keynote Address and Reception:
The Keynote Address will be at the SBE Conference Hotel, the Grand Floridian Hotel and Spa. The Grand Floridian is not among the Academy hotels. Therefore, we have arranged for shuttle buses to move between it and one of the Academy hotels, the Coronado Springs Resort.
The shuttle buses will be leaving on the hour and half-hour from both the Grand Floridian's Convention Center and the Coronado Springs. On Friday the buses run from 12:00 noon to 7:30 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday they run from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. The buses take about 20 minutes to move from one destination to the other.
Because we're expecting a heavier volume of traffic between the Grand Floridian and Coronado Springs on Saturday night, when the keynote address is delivered, we've added an extra large bus to the route that night. This special bus will leave the Coronado Springs at 4:45 pm and will make it's return trip back to the Coronado Springs at 7:45 pm.
The buses will have the SBE name and logo prominently displayed in their front windows.
Finally, in addition to attending the joint keynote address, let me extend to you an invitation to drop by our conference and check out what we're up to. You should feel welcome to attend any of our sessions--our conference program can be viewed at http://sbeonline.org/?page_id=5366--without feeling obliged to pay our conference fee. (We would only ask you to pay the conference fee if you intend to spend the greater part of a day or the weekend with us.)
