This is a final call for the 2010 Social Issues in Management Book Award. We are looking for nominations of books published between January 2005 and December 2009. Nominated authors need not be members of SIM, but it is always wonderful to honor those in the Division for their hard work. Textbooks and edited books with multiple contributors are not eligible.
Nominated books will be rated on their relevance to SIM, contribution to the field, and empirical and/or theoretical rigor. Potential topics covered by nominated books include, but are not limited to:
Corporate social responsibilty/performance
Business ethics
Stakeholder theory
Corporate governance
Sustainability/Environment
Compliance
Etc.
Also, please let me know if you are interested in joining the Book Award Committee-we are looking for new members!
