**Sorry for the cross-postings** Dear Colleagues, Tired of Pokémon Go?! You are cordially invited to participate in our PDW session: The Use of Technology and Mobile Apps to Teach Corporate Sustainability on Saturday, Aug 6 2016 12:00PM - 2:00PM at Anaheim Marriott in Platinum Ballroom 10 Teaching Corporate Sustainability (CS) or any other management topic using innovative approaches is a challenge for management professors all around the world. Students are now very familiar with technology and the use of different types of learning tools. In addition, the recent boom of smart phones and mobile apps for all sort of daily activities, not only for entertainment but also as part of the studying tasks may create opportunities to teach some CS topics using apps. There are now mobile apps to teach children how to read or math fluency, to learn new languages, or to train the brain of our senior population. Similarly, the development of mobile apps that focuses on sustainability issues, both environmental and social has emerged in recent times. For this reason, this PDW aims to explore this new trend by assessing the appropriability of using mobile apps to teach Corporate Sustainability (CS). One of the main goals of this PDW is to improve our teaching methods by including new methodologies able to motivate and enable our students to become agents of change. The outcome of this PDW is to develop a guideline for CS mobile apps that can be used in the classroom to teach different CS topics. Each participant will analyze the use of two mobile apps by applying them in any of the topics covered in their CS courses; and they will work in sub-groups to develop a guideline to teach different CS themes using those analyze apps. During the PDW, each sub-group will present their draft guidelines in a large group setting. Aside from developing the report and sharing ideas, this is also a networking session and we will meet up together at one of the AOM socials later. The workshop format will give participants the opportunity to connect and interact with one another in order to make the workshops a meaningful experience. Have a safe trip and looking forward to seeing you in Anaheim, Javier Delgado-Ceballos, University of Granada, Spain Ivan Montiel - Baruch College, City University of New York Natalia Ortiz-de-Mandojana , University of Granada, Spain ================================================================== "This message is intended exclusively for its addressee and may contain information that is CONFIDENTIAL and protected by professional privilege.
