    Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce our professional development workshop titled "Big Data" Research with MINIMAL Programming Background (Submission #17705), sponsored by OMT, TIM, and BPS. We invite you to join us as we: (1) Show how big data can become easily accessible to you even if you have no prior background in programming; (2) Spark connections between those of us with interest in incorporating big data into our research; (3) Impart programming skills that enable you to use particular methodologies in research.

    WHEN: Saturday August 6, 12:00PM – 2:00PM.

WHERE: Anaheim Marriott, Grand Ballroom Salons C and D.

WHO: Researchers interested in incorporating "big data" into their methodologies.

WHY: To give you a way to access big data for research purposes, even with no prior background in programming.

WHAT: Our presenters, four big data enthusiasts, will kick off the session expounding on how big data interfaces with social science research, then session participants will have a chance to ask questions and explore related topics during roundtable discussions.
