Hi everyone
I've been fielding numerous requests for extension to the IABS Sydney 2014 submission deadline, so I have extended the submission due date to Monday 16 December. This will need to be a firm deadline in order for us to get the review process underway, and completed in sufficient time.
Remember, at this stage it is only a 3-5 page abstract that is required. We welcome submissions on all areas of business & society – including stakeholder theory, business ethics, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, social/sustainability accounting and reporting, social marketing, social entrepreneurship and the teaching of business & society units.
All information, including the call for papers, the conference theme, and submission guidelines are available on the IABS 2014 webpage: http://www.iabs.net/Conference/AllLinks.aspx
There are also a few spaces left on the Doctoral Consortium – but these are filling fast. Please bring the following page to the attention of your doctoral students: http://www.iabs.net/Conference/PhDColliquium.aspx
Are you interested in spending a day chatting to and engaging with Australian managers? We are thrilled to partner with the Australian Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (ACCSR) to put on a one-day 'learning lab' dedicated to exploring the academic-practitioner nexus. Check out this page, and complete the submission page if you're interested in facilitating a session: http://www.iabs.net/Conference/CLab.aspx
Please take care when using the online submission – ensure that all items marked with a red asterisk are completed, and the 'captcha' box at the bottom of the form is also completed (without spaces). You will receive a confirmation of your submission. Please email me at C.Higgins@deakin.edu.au if you do not receive a confirmation email.
I'm looking forward to welcoming you all to Sydney – the program is shaping up nicely, and we have a great line up of confirmed speakers already – including Ed Freeman. There will also be an opportunity to meet with the current Editor of 'Business & Society' and to meet the new Editorial team. Did you know that next year's conference will be the 25th IABS conference – we will be looking back over the past 25 years – and revisiting the original agenda established by the leaders in our field.
