Dear SIM members,
I would like to draw your attention to a new virtual special issue of Socio-Economic Review on "Business Research."
http://www.oxfordjournals.org/our_journals/soceco/virtual_issue_br.html
Of particular interest to SIM scholars is our discussion forum topic Grey areas: irresponsible corporations and reputational dynamics featuring contributions from Gregory Jackson, Stephen Brammer, Jonathan M. Karpoff, Donald Lange, Anastasiya Zavyalova, Brooke Harrington, Frank Partnoy, Brayden G King and David L. Deephouse.
Moving forward, we very much welcome contributions from SIM scholars on the broader impact of business on society, as well as how business engages with social and ecological issues. Socio-Economic Review (SER) aims to encourage work on the relationship between society, economy, institutions and markets, moral commitments and the rational pursuit of self-interest. The journal seeks articles that focus on economic action in its social and historical context. In broad disciplinary terms, papers are drawn from sociology, political science, economics and the management and policy sciences. The journal encourages papers that seek to recombine disciplinary domains in response to practically relevant issues, while at the same time encouraging the development of new theory.
I would also like to draw your attention to an older special issue on "CSR and Institutional Theory" that reflect our efforts to bridge CSR scholarship with political science literatures on governance.

Thanks in advance for your interest and support!
Sincerely,
Gregory Jackson
