    TENURE TRACK POSITION IN CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

    – HEC MONTRÉAL

     

    The Department of Management of HEC Montréal is recruiting at least one new faculty member in management (full-time Assistant or Associate Professor – tenure-track position) starting in June 2015. The successful candidate will engage in high-quality teaching and research in the area of corporate social responsibility and sustainability. The candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate, MSc, MBA and executive education levels. The position(s) is subject to budgetary approval.  

    HEC Montréal: Founded in 1907, HEC Montréal (www.hec.ca) is one of the oldest and largest business schools in North America. The School has over 12,000 students in its 38 management study programs, from the undergraduate to postgraduate levels, and employs close to 260 professors. It was the first business school in North America to be accredited by all three agencies, AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. The M.Sc. and MBA programs consistently rank among the best in the world.  

    Department of Management: The Department of Management (http://www.hec.ca/en/management/index.html) consists of more than 50 full-time professors with diverse disciplinary backgrounds (management, strategy, sociology, psychology, history, anthropology). The department has a strong commitment to high-quality teaching, pedagogical innovation and research. The Department offers a broad selection of courses and specific programs in management and strategy, at the MBA, B.A.A., M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels. It also hosts a number of research chairs.

    Requirements: Candidates should demonstrate the following:

    • Ph.D. in management and corporate social responsibility or a related field, completed by June 1, 2015.
    • Passionate about teaching and interacting with students at various levels. Some teaching experience is required (please attach your teaching evaluations).
    • A strong record of scholarly research, commensurate with the stage in the career.
    • Willingness to learn French. The School's initial orientation program provides excellent support (including teaching load reduction) to become fluent in French within two years. The candidate is expected to teach in French after two years.

Candidates must clearly indicate 'tenure track position in corporate social responsibility' in the title of their email.
