Dear Colleagues --
As I'm on sabbatical I can't help this student but his project sounds interesting so if you can assist him, his email address is below.
thanks
Deborah Vidaver-Cohen (FIU)
Dear Professor Dr. Vidaver-Cohen,
I have taken the liberty to contact you directly, hoping I can excite you for my inquiry and win your support for my Master Thesis project.
My name is Michael, I am from Germany, and enrolled in the Master of Science Program in Marketing at Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus, Denmark. Currently, I am writing my Master Thesis which I finish in June this year.
The thesis is entitled:
"Attitudes toward Business Ethics:
A view of the business student in <st1:country-region w:st="on">Denmark</st1:country-region>, <st1:country-region w:st="on">Germany</st1:country-region> and the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">U.S.</st1:country-region></st1:place>"
The theoretical part comprehends concepts within the field of business ethics and corporate social responsibility. For my empirical part, I would like to carry out an online survey among business and economics students from <st1:country-region w:st="on">Denmark</st1:country-region>, <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Germany</st1:country-region></st1:place> and the U.S regarding the mentioned topic.
The aim of the survey is to compare collected data, and analyze whether differences in business ethics attitudes exist between these different nationalities, as well as within specific groups (gender, academic level). Please find the relevant survey details attached.
I could already establish contacts with professors at Danish and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">German</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">Business</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Schools</st1:placetype></st1:place>, and the number of student participants is steadily increasing. In order to collect a sufficient number of data from the U.S., may I kindly ask you to provide access to my online survey to the business and economics students at your institution, by forwarding the following link by email, on your web page, or in class?
http://studsurvey.asb.dk/survey.aspx?surveyid=xf5v57225gbo2m3
This link leads to my survey, where students find the questionnaire including assistance on how to answer it.
I would be glad to provide you with the results of the survey once I have finished my Master Thesis. Your personal data will be held confidentially. I hope I can win your help and support for my project, and thank you very much in advance for your interest. For any further questions or comments please feel free to contact me. You also find my CV for more information about me attached to this email.
Your support is very much appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Michael
