Climate Change and Green Growth: Innovating for Sustainability

    June 13 - 16, 2010, Seoul, Korea

Deadline for submission: January 22, 2010

Next year, the network will go to Korea. Our conference chair will be prof. Jong-Dae Kim of the Inha University, Korea. The conference will, once again, focus on climate change.

Climate change is the single most critical issue actively discussed all over the world. The Korea government declared 'Low Carbon Green Growth' as the top priority policy agenda in August 2008, and is in the process of presenting a voluntary carbon emission reduction target. Since we anticipate that more countries will join our common efforts to reduce green house gas emissions after the upcoming Copenhagen Summit, we hope to provide a stage for the discussion of practical strategies to cope with climate change challenges; hence the conference title - Climate Change and Green Growth: Innovating for Sustainability. By focusing on climate change we will also be continuing the debate we have had at our conferences in 2009 in Mexico and Denmark.

More specifically, the conference will look at the following topics:

    - Copenhagen & Post-Kyoto Protocol
    - Energy Crisis and Renewable Energy Industry
    - Eco-efficiency : Measurement and Improvement
    - Product and Financial Market's Role
    - CSR and Sustainability Reporting
    - Green IT
    - Material Flow Management
    - Sustainable Cities and Governments
    - Stakeholder Relationship Management
    - Education for Sustainability
    - Industrial Ecology
    - Other Issues Related to Climate Change and Sustainability

As a host of GIN2010, KEMA (The Korea Environmental Management Association) welcomes you to the GIN2010. We promise a fruitful academic and cultural program, an excellent networking opportunity, with special entertainment. We will arrange meetings with editors of major journals during the Conference so that high quality contributions can be published in the journals.
