Business Ethics Quarterly – Call for manuscripts

    20th Anniversary Special Issue

Business Ethics for the Next Twenty Years:  Emerging Issues and Perspectives

Business Ethics Quarterly will celebrate its twentieth year of publication in 2010.  To mark the occasion, BEQ will publish a special anniversary issue on emerging issues and theoretical perspectives in business ethics (broadly construed).  BEQ publishes theoretical, empirical, methodological, and issue-oriented scholarly studies addressing a broad range of topics relevant to the ethics of business, including (but not limited to) the internal ethics practices of business organizations, the role of business organizations in larger social, political and cultural frameworks, and the ethical quality of market-based societies and market-based relationships, in both local and global contexts.  Those same general guidelines apply to the anniversary issue, with the qualification that the focus of manuscripts must be on emerging theoretical perspectives and issues.  Publishable manuscripts also should make a substantive contribution of the sort that can help guide future research and theorizing.   Submissions are encouraged from all relevant disciplines, including accounting, anthropology, economics, finance, history, law, management, marketing, philosophy, political science, psychology, sociology, and religious studies/theology.  Submissions are due January 1, 2009, and should indicate that they are for the anniversary issue.  Please consult the BEQ website (www.businessethicsquarterly.org) for further instructions for contributors.  Accepted manuscripts will appear in the anniversary issue during 2010, which also will include invited commentaries by senior business ethics scholars.
