McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management invites
applications for a senior position (Associate or Full Professor)
spanning the Organizational Behavior and Strategy & Organization
Areas.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of
excellence in research conducted at the intersection of Strategy,
Organization Theory and Organizational Behavior. A non-exhaustive list
of possible research areas includes: cross-cultural or international
management; leadership or top management teams; ethical behaviour and
corporate social responsibility; institutional theory; organizational
identity and identification processes; or innovation. It is expected
that the successful candidate will continue to conduct a sustained,
high quality research program; mentor junior faculty; and provide
leadership to the Organizational Behaviour and Strategy & Organization
Areas. The successful candidate will also be an excellent teacher,
prepared to design and deliver courses in undergraduate, graduate and
executive programs; and to work actively to train and develop doctoral
students.
McGill's Desautels Faculty of Management (www.mcgill.ca/management)
offers a collegial, research-oriented atmosphere. The Faculty was
named recently after it received the largest gift ever to a business
school in Canada. With 62 current tenured/tenure track professors, the
Faculty is committed to significant growth in the coming years.
Currently, there are approximately 2500 B.Com., 250 MBA, and 80 Ph.D.
students enrolled. Numerous opportunities exist for teaching in
innovative, international executive programs. The Faculty strives for
a combination of excellence in research and teaching, and encourages
international, cross-cultural and multidisciplinary research. Faculty
members enjoy a high level of independence in their research and

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong record of research publication,
evidence of effective teaching, and clear promise of continuing an
interesting and innovative research agenda. Interested candidates

research, and evidence of teaching effectiveness such as teaching
evaluations, all of which can be sent by post or e-mail to the
