    Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We wanted to remind you that fewer than two weeks remain to register for the EABIS RESPONSE Project Final Conference at INSEAD Business School, France.

The conference will take place on Friday, October 12 (09:00 - 17:30 CET) with an exclusive audience of around 200 senior managers, executives, policy-makers and stakeholder representatives. With availability disappearing fast, please visit the official website and register for one of the remaining places.

    Why Attend?

Since 2004, RESPONSE has been the world's largest business research activity on Corporate Responsibility and Strategic Stakeholder Management, funded by the FP6 programme and strongly supported by EABIS five founding corporate partners IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, Shell and Unilever. Notably, the EU Commission has already praised the project findings as an excellent contribution to the business- relevant European knowledge base on CSR.

The conference will deliver strong insights on the balance between internal change and external engagement processes, corporate social performance and strategy, and the implications for executive development. These will be discussed on October 12 by (among others):

    • Gunter Verheugen, Vice- President & Commissioner for DG Enterprise, EU Commission
    • Richard Evans, CEO, Alcan
    • Jean-Philippe Courtois, President, Microsoft International
    • Sandy Ogg, Chief Human Resources Officer & Global Board Member, Unilever
    • Lise Kingo, Executive Vice President & Chief of Staffs, Novo Nordisk
    • PerrineDutronc, Managing Director, Innovest
    • Mario Monti, former EU Commissioner for Competition & President, Bocconi University
    • Frank Brown, Dean, INSEAD
    • Simon Zadek, CEO, AccountAbility
    • Chris Marsden, Chair, Amnesty International Business Group
    • Gilbert Lenssen, President, EABIS
    • Peter Lacy, Executive Director, EABIS

Other Highlights To Include EABIS-Ethical Corporation Special Issue Launch

The conference will also feature the international launch of the second EABIS - Ethical Corporation Special Issue on Corporate Responsibility and Education. Building on the highly successful 2006 project, this year's publication focuses exclusively on the 'state of the art' in executive education, and how business school innovation is keeping pace with corporate progress.

We are delighted to add that both Microsoft International President Jean-Philippe Courtois and INSEAD Executive Education Director Luk van Wassenhove will add expert perspectives during the session. More detailed information will follow from EABIS before the end of this week.

The conference brings to a close an outstanding collaboration from the RESPONSE team led by INSEAD in partnership with SDA Bocconi, Copenhagen Business School, Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship & Management and Impact Training. We hope that you and colleagues will also get to benefit from their achievements!
