Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the Research Network for Business Sustainability has generated two research projects funded by practitioners. The calls for proposals are posted at http://sustainabilityresearch.org/index.php?fa=Opportunities.show (click Funded Knowledge Projects).

The projects were identified and funded by our Leadership Council of practitioners with representatives from industry, government and non-governmental organizations. These projects are a direct result of the efforts of the Network to bridge research with practice.

The first project pertains to valuing business sustainability and the second to community engagement. The calls are open to all qualified applicants, although preference will be given to research teams involving at least one permanent resident of Canada.

The Research Network for Business Sustainability seeks to bridge research in business sustainability with practice. Approximately 200 researchers are engaged in the Network. The Network is funded by the Canadian government and the corporate sector.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to receiving your proposals, the deadlines for which are 6 August 2007.

    Sincerely,

    Dr. Tima Bansal
