    Greetings!

I hope you are well and thriving!

I am delighted to share some of the exciting developments with the "Giving Voice To Values" approach to Values-Driven Leadership development!

    Please do visit www.GivingVoiceToValues.org and

www.GivingVoiceToValuesTheBook.com to access the curriculum and learn more.

Here are a few of the highlights, thanks to the intellectual and

pedagogical efforts of the GVV Network:

    • INVITATION to become a LEAD USER for a new series of 6 interactive, online, social cohort-based modules that introduce the core GVV concepts and methodologies and provide opportunities to practice with these approaches as foundation for subsequent in-person exchanges. These modules are short, customizable and creatively designed to incorporate brief cases; clear and compelling presentation of core GVV concepts; engaging animations and powerful video segments; opportunities to practice application of the GVV methodologies; and opportunities to engage in peer exchanges. Please do take a look athttp://nomadic.fm/ProgDetailGivingVoiceToValues.html and contact Mgentile3@babson.edu if you are interested in learning more and/or participating as a LEAD USER now.
    • The CHINESE Translation of "Giving Voice To Values: How To Speak Your Mind When You Know What is Right" is available! A special "Thank You!" to Liang Yu, recent Duke MBA graduate for his careful work with the translation.
    • The KOREAN Translation of "Giving Voice To Values: How To Speak Your Mind When You Know What is Right" will be out next year! Stay tuned.  And a reminder that the Spanish Translation is already available as well.
    • The Winner of the GVV Case Competition on Anti-Corruption, in Partnership with the United Nations Global Compact PRME and NACRA, will be announced at NACRA conference in Austin in October, 2014.
    • NEW GVV CASES: We continue to add new cases to the GVV Collection -- most recently "Too Much Information" (academic integrity issues) by John Melnyk and Anna Hawkins and "Is This Reuse Planning" (public sector management) by Alice Boelter. Please check the GVV Curriculum Webpage webpage periodically to see what's new!
    • GVV On The Move: Upcoming presentations and programs on GVV for just the next 10 weeks  include: a 5 city tour in Australia with visits in 9 programs; VIP Guest sessions in the Boston University Business Education JAM, in collaboration with IBM; keynote for University of North Georgia "The ROI of Ethical Leadership in Business"; keynote for the Canadian Centre for Ethics and Corporate Policy 25th Anniversary; faculty and student workshops at Queens University and Ryerson University in Canada; webinar for ALCOA; presentation for The Aspen Institute Business & Society Program FIRST MOVERS Fellowship; presentations at the Net Impact convening in Minneapolis and the International Leadership Association in San Diego; etc., etc.
    • New Publications: There are many new articles dealing with GVV recently published and/or forthcoming in books and journals over the next few months. Topics address GVV and:  Nursing Education; Student Affairs initiatives; Performative Ethics; UNGC PRME; etc., etc. For more information, see the "Other Writings" tab at www.MaryGentile.com and/or contact Mgentile3@babson.edu
    • The GVV/INDIA Curriculum Collection is well launched with 10 new cases written by Indian faculty! Deep gratitude to the faculty authors, their case subjects and to the United Nations Global Compact PRME initiative for funding this project, and to our wonderful Project Manager, Debra Wheat! The cases are posted at the GVV Curriculum Webpage.
    • New ACCOUNTING CASEBOOK features GVV! At the end of each chapter of Excel-Based Decisions in Managerial Accounting, Teresa Stephenson and Jason Porter include a GVV style case scenario: "Like all of the GVV materials, the questions in these scenarios push students beyond the common "what should I do" questions to think about what should be done by the individuals to ensure that an ethical decision is made."
    • The Future of GVV: Professor Gregory C. Unruh of George Mason University has written a new case on "Mary Gentile: Transforming the Conversation Around Values-Driven Behavior". This case could be very useful for discussions of social entrepreneurship, scaling ideas and leadership. In particular, we are hoping you and your students may share ideas about how to continue to grow and expand GVV! The case can be found at the GVV Curriculum Webpage.
    • GVV ACROSS THE CURRICULUM:  A new book on using GVV in courses like Accounting, Economics, Operations, Marketing, Leadership, as well as Sustainability, Social Entrepreneurship and Ethics was published recently  in the works as part of the United Nations Global Compact PRME book series.
    • NEW COURSE! An Intensive GVV Elective was recently piloted at Babson. The course - When Leadership Really Counts: An Action Practicum - has 3 components: (1) students are introduced to and experience GVV themselves; (2) they develop GVV cases and teaching plans in a functional area or industry of their choice; and then (3) they deliver the material to their peers in a workshop format. This LEARN-CREATE-SHARE model allows students to develop Peer Coaching Skills in enacting their values and allows their institutions the chance to develop a co-branded collection of GVV materials. The course can be offered as a regular course, a half course and/or a two-weekend intensive workshop/course. If you or one of your colleagues would like to offer this course, please contact us for more information: Mgentile3@babson.edu
    • VIDEOS, ARTICLES, INTERVIEWS, OP-EDS: There are lots of other materials that can be used in your teaching at the book website, www.MaryGentile.com, under the "Media Room" and the "Other Writing" tabs. Most of them are FREE.  Of particular interest is the 8 minute video introduction to GVV from McKinsey Quarterly.

I will stop there but there is always more and your ideas and contributions are always welcome and HUGELY appreciated. Be in touch ANY TIME!

    Thank you and Cheers!
