    The Faculty of Economics, Business Management and Information Technology of the University of Zurich invites applications for the position of a

     

    Professor of Organization Theory

     

    We seek an individual with an established management research record in organizational design and process. Preference is given to candidates with a strong theoretical or empirical background in the social sciences and the ability to argue across different theoretical perspectives. Our faculty celebrates interdisciplinary discourse and encourages the analysis of current challenges in management practice. This can be demonstrated by competences in an applied management field such as, e.g., organizational development and change, knowledge management, international/intercultural management, or corporate social responsibility.

     

    The successful candidate will develop a highly competitive research program and will be expected to participate actively in the teaching at the Bachelor, Master and Doctorate levels.

     

    Our interdisciplinary faculty is a leading research center, promoting innovative teaching and research. We offer majors such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance, and Management & Economics. For further information please consult http://www.oec.unizh.ch

     

    The appointment will begin Aug. 1, 2008. We explicitly encourage women to apply. The teaching languages are German and English.

    The position is at the full/chaired professor level. In the past for full/chaired positions our faculty often has hired scholars in the middle of their careers. However, we will consider any candidate with a strong research record and active publication projects in top management journals .
