Dear SIM members,
I could use your collective wisdom. I'm a doctoral student in the Management and Organization Department at Penn State. I'm working with Dr. Linda Trevino and Dr. David Harrison to update a meta-analysis of organization/workplace-related studies that use ethical/unethical behavior or behavioral intention as the dependent variable.
I believe I've combed the major electronic databases (ABI Inform, PsychINFO) pretty well. However, I'm particularly interested in finding out about dissertations, conference presentations, book chapters, unpublished papers, or empirical studies reported in other outlets that would not be easily found in a normal literature search. Can you help me by sending me a copy of or reference to such a study?
The dependent variable could be a general measure of unethical behavior, or a specific behavior including one of the following:
Aggression
Bribery
Cheating (such as on an expense report or in a negotiation, but not on a classroom test)
Deception
Kickbacks
Lying
Piracy
Theft
Sabotage
Use of insider information
Verbal abuse
Workplace violence
I appreciate any help you can provide. Of course, my coauthors and I will include and cite papers that meet the parameters of our meta-analysis.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Jennifer J. Gephart
