Addressing Climate Change in the MBA Classroom

Interested in incorporating discussion on climate change into your strategy, finance, organizational behavior and operations courses? Join CasePlace.org and Dr. Andrew J. Hoffman to discuss pathbreaking strategies that tackle how Climate Change can be incorporated into the MBA Classroom.

Featuring Dr. Andrew J. Hoffman, Holcim Professor of Sustainable Enterprise at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, and Associate Director of the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise.

    This Web-Conference is scheduled for Friday, December 15th, 2006, 2:00pm - 3:00pm, EST.

In a recent report for the Pew Center on Global Climate Change -- Getting Ahead of the Curve: Corporate Strategies that Address Climate Change -- a sample of thirty-one companies believe that federal policy on climate change is coming, with the majority believing it will come between 2010 and 2015. Beyond this looming threat, growing concern among state governments, interest among the investment community, and rising energy prices add to the business case for addressing climate change as a strategic issue. As the Conference Board warns, "Businesses that ignore the debate over climate change do so at their peril."

Join Dr. Hoffman as he discusses what insights from the report can be applied in your MBA classes. He will present the results of the report and then open up the floor for a discussion / Q & A around these and additional topics.

Please RSVP to Alex Roberts to participate in December's online discussion.

Registration is free. All registrants will receive an email with dial-in information.

CasePlace.org is a program of The Aspen Institute's Business and Society Program.
