    Dear Friends,

The deadline for nominations/applications for the following Aspen Institute award programs is next Friday, April 16th.  Please help us to spread the word-- thank you.

    1.

For almost a decade, the Aspen Institute's Faculty Pioneer Awards have recognized exceptional faculty who are leaders in integrating social and environmental issues into their research and teaching.  Named "the Oscars of the business school world" by the Financial Times, these awards celebrate educators who have demonstrated leadership and risk-taking in integrating social and environmental issues into academic research, educational programs and business practice. Nominations are open to all faculty members at any institution worldwide offering a graduate management degree.

You can read about last year's award winners here, and also in this press release.

The nomination form is available at: http://aspencbe.org/awards/pioneers/2010Nomination.html.

The Center for Business Education at the Aspen Institute is pleased to announce the sponsorship of its 4th annual award for promising dissertation research.  The purpose of this award is to identify innovative research in core business disciplines that considers the interdependence between business decision-making and a wider societal or environmental context.  Dissertation Proposal Award winners are celebrated at an Aspen Institute function in New York City, receive recognition in both online and print brochures, are awarded a $1500 honorarium, and further benefits are given throughout the year.

Eligibility information and the application form can be found here: http://www.aspencbe.org/awards/dissertation/2010ApplicationProcess.html.

Also, for the second year in a row, Aspen CBE is thrilled to partner with the Foundation for Enterprise Development and the Employee Ownership Foundation to offer a dissertation proposal award for doctoral students researching ideas related to employee ownership and participative workforces.  More information can be found here: http://www.aspencbe.org/awards/dissertation/2010EOApp.html.

Best wishes for a great weekend,

    Justin
