    Please excuse cross-postings.

The School of Business at the University at Albany – State University of New York (UAlbany) is recruiting to fill a tenure-track position for the Standish Assistant/Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship to be jointly-housed in the Management and Marketing Departments. This is an ideal position for a recent PhD or a junior faculty with a proven track record ready for promotion. In addition to a market-competitive salary, this position includes access to start-up research funds for the first three years. The School of Business is housed in a new $64 Million state-of-the-art building and is home to several research centers and academic journals. We also have vibrant micro-loan and environmental sustainability programs, and a recently-proposed Center for the Advancement and Understanding of Social Enterprises (CAUSE). We are recruiting scholars interested in advancing the areas of social entrepreneurship and marketing who will be able to contribute to preparing students at all academic levels as well as support their colleagues within UAlbany and the community at large. UAlbany has simultaneous searches in the School of Social Welfare (social entrepreneurship) and the RNA Institute/School of Business (technology transfer); it is expected that the new faculty will collaborate to build a critical mass of entrepreneurship scholars. Preference will be given to those with interests in one or more of the following areas: Character-based roles in building and marketing successful businesses in less developed regions and challenged communities; a connection between business and marketing with economic and social development; issues in the research, funding, and delivery of social entrepreneurship and marketing initiatives; and/or application of private enterprise/for-profit principles between business and governmental/not-for-profit sectors.
