    WAM 2010 Doctoral/Junior Faculty Consortium

If you are a doctoral student or junior faculty member, and you would enjoy
interacting with some of our field¹s most prominent researchers in the
beautiful setting of Kona, Hawaii, then this invitation may interest you.

The Western Academy of Management would like to invite you to attend the
2010 WAM Doctoral/Junior Faculty Consortium at the Sheraton Keauhou Bay
Resort and Spa. The consortium will be held on March 24 and 25 and will be
followed by WAM 2010, which will last until March 28th.

The consortium will include a mix of panels, presentations, and small group
discussions about research, teaching, and other career-related issues.
Participants will be split into three groups for these discussions: new
doctoral students, ABDs (All-But-Dissertation students), and new faculty
members. In addition, we will provide opportunities for one-on-one meetings
with faculty members in order to get feedback on your ideas and scholarly
work. Confirmed faculty participants so far include Terry Mitchell, William
Torbert, Joyce Osland, Charles Snow, Teppo Felin, and Nicole Biggart.

We will send out another announcement with more details early in 2010. If
you are interested in attending or would like more information, please
contact either one of the consortium organizers, David Hannah
(dhannah@sfu.ca) or Ana Maria Peredo (aperedo@uvic.ca).

We hope to see you in Hawaii in March 2010!
